Switch 2 Zelda: Target restock confirmed for November 6

The US sale has no announced start time, stock varies by store, and the game is not included.

US shoppers looking for the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition have one confirmed opportunity this Friday, November 6: Target announced a restock online and in stores. The retailer has not provided a start time or guaranteed units in every area. Before traveling or checking out, shoppers should consult the Target product page using their own ZIP code.

What Target has confirmed

Target provides the most specific announcement currently available. According to TechRadar’s restock coverage, the retailer updated its listing on November 5 to indicate online and in-store sales beginning November 6.

A confirmed date is not the same as guaranteed inventory. No official sale time has been published, and the options shown by Target—pickup, delivery, or shipping—depend on location and actual availability. An active listing or purchase button may also change quickly during a high-demand restock.

Check the price before completing an order

TechRadar recorded the console at $519.99 on the US Nintendo Store during a brief period of availability on November 5. That batch sold out within minutes, according to the same coverage. Because the available Target page extract does not show a verifiable price, buyers should confirm the amount directly in Target’s cart, along with local taxes and conditions, before paying.

This check also helps shoppers avoid confusing the console’s price with third-party offers. The $519.99 figure documents that official Nintendo sale, but it does not independently prove the final price displayed by Target today.

The game is not in the box

The official Nintendo product page is explicit: the game is not included. Released on October 29, 2026, this special edition is a hardware bundle with a design inspired by The Legend of Zelda.

The package contains a Switch 2 system, a green-and-gold left Joy-Con 2, a matching right Joy-Con 2, and a black-and-gold dock featuring the Triforce symbol. It also includes a Joy-Con 2 grip, two controller straps, the AC adapter, a USB-C charging cable, an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, and the system dock.

What makes this edition different

Nintendo describes the edition’s distinguishing features as visual. The system’s back and dock carry patterns and symbols inspired by the series, while the controllers use green-and-gold colors. Listed specifications include a 7.9-inch 1080p display and 256GB of internal storage, part of which is reserved for system use.

Output at up to 4K requires a supported game and compatible television; frame rates at that resolution are capped at 60 fps. Compatibility with original Switch software is not universal either: some games may be unsupported or only partially compatible.

Best Buy and Nintendo are not confirmed opportunities today

Best Buy’s limited availability tied to a late-night opening belonged to the launch window. The retailer’s official content currently accessible only says international customers can shop on the US website for delivery to a US address or store; it does not confirm fresh November 6 inventory.

The Nintendo Store briefly displayed stock on November 5, but the coverage recorded that it sold out soon afterward. Neither occurrence should be treated as current availability. The reviewed sources also provide no official confirmation of a Walmart restock today.

How to distinguish a listing from available stock

On Target, enter a ZIP code and check pickup, delivery, and shipping separately. Confirm that Target is the seller, review the cart total, and do not assume that a unit shown in another city can be shipped. If the product becomes unavailable, that does not establish a new restock time.

This guidance applies only to the US market. The sources do not confirm equivalent availability, pricing, or commercial terms in Canada, the UK, or other territories. Conditions can change, so verify them through the official retailer links.
