The Golden State Valkyries and Las Vegas Aces play Game 2 of their WNBA semifinal on Wednesday, October 7, at 6:30 p.m. Pacific at Chase Center in San Francisco. Game 3 is Friday, October 9, also at 6:30 p.m. PT, at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas. In the United States, both matchups are scheduled for Peacock and NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

The schedule appears in the official announcement published by the Valkyries. The supplied sources do not confirm broadcasters for Brazil, Spain or France. Viewers outside the U.S. should check local availability through official services before purchasing any subscription or plan.

Dates, times and coverage

Golden State hosts Game 2 on October 7. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. PT at Chase Center. For Game 3 on October 9, home-court duties shift to Las Vegas, with another 6:30 p.m. PT start at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

The official series preview lists NBCSN and Peacock as the U.S. viewing options for both games. Schedules and availability can change, so check the official page again close to tipoff. The reviewed material does not specify subscription prices, free trial periods or access conditions in other territories.

Why the series moves from San Francisco to Las Vegas

The semifinals use a 2-2-1 format. The team with the better seed hosts the first two games, visits its opponent for the next two and returns home for Game 5 if it is required. As the No. 2 seed, Golden State opened the series against No. 3 Las Vegas with two games at Chase Center.

After Games 1 and 2 in San Francisco, the series moves to Michelob ULTRA Arena. Las Vegas hosts Game 3 and, if necessary, Game 4, scheduled for October 11 at a time still to be determined. A potential Game 5 would be played at Chase Center on October 14, also with no confirmed start time.

How many wins are needed to reach the Finals

The semifinal is a best-of-five series: the first team to earn three wins advances. It can end in Game 3 or continue to a fourth or fifth game, depending on the earlier results.

The official WNBA playoff bracket distinguishes the three rounds: the first round was best-of-three with a 1-1-1 distribution; the semifinals are best-of-five and 2-2-1; and the Finals will be best-of-seven in a 2-2-1-1-1 format. Games 4 and 5 of Valkyries vs. Aces are therefore conditional, not guaranteed fixtures.

How the teams reached the semifinals

Golden State eliminated the Dallas Wings 2-1 in the first round, while Las Vegas defeated the Indiana Fever by the same series score. The Valkyries’ qualification marked the first playoff series victory in franchise history. At the time of reporting on October 4, Game 1 of the semifinal was in progress; this article therefore assigns no series lead and does not anticipate its result.

The Valkyries’ preview identifies a significant matchup for the games ahead. A’ja Wilson led the WNBA in regular-season scoring at 26.2 points per game, while Golden State finished the regular season with the league’s top defensive rating. According to the same source, Wilson was also averaging 32 points per game in the playoffs after the first round.

The 2026 head-to-head record

Las Vegas won all three regular-season meetings. The review published by Golden State notes that two were played in Las Vegas and one at Chase Center.

The closest was the June 6 game: the Aces won 84-79 after Jackie Young made a three-pointer with 24 seconds remaining. She and Gabby Williams each finished with 27 points. On May 31, Las Vegas won 91-81 in San Francisco; A’ja Wilson recorded 28 points and 15 rebounds. Those results provide context for the matchup but do not determine the semifinal’s outcome.

What to check before watching

Keep the venue change in mind: Game 2 is at Chase Center and Game 3 is at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Both are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. PT, though they take place on different days. Peacock and NBCSN are the announced options for the U.S. audience; the reviewed sources provide no equivalent confirmation for other countries.

Check the official schedule again on game day, especially for any change in time, channel or regional availability. Games 4 and 5 should not be treated as certain either: they will only be played if the series remains undecided.
