Atlético-MG vs Cruzeiro: tickets, facial entry and children’s rules

Atlético-MG and Cruzeiro meet on October 29, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. Brasília time at Arena MRV in the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship. To enter, every supporter needs an individual ticket and a GaloID account. Those over 12 will enter exclusively through facial recognition; children under 12 may use an e-ticket or barcode, although they also need a GaloID and a ticket.

When and where the derby takes place

The match is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte. Both the ticket announcement and Atlético’s official fixture calendar list that date and venue.

According to the organizer, the concourse, turnstiles and parking area will open at 4:30 p.m., three hours before kickoff. This does not guarantee a parking space. Allowing time to find the gate printed on the ticket and address any identification issue before the match is advisable.

Official sales, prices and cancellation

General-public sales began on October 21 at 9 a.m. The announcement promotes tickets from R$29.90 in Inter Norte for GNV members; that is not a general price available to every buyer. The published rates for people without a membership discount vary by section. Inter Norte, for example, lists R$50 for a concession ticket and R$100 for a full-price ticket.

In-person sales are scheduled for October 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Arena MRV. Buying online in advance, however, gives supporters time to check their registration and ticket assignment before reaching the stadium.

Purchase cancellation will remain available only until 7:30 p.m. on October 28, 24 hours before the match. The announcement does not promise cancellations after that deadline. Check the current terms through the official channel, particularly when purchasing close to the cutoff.

GaloID, facial registration and individual assignment

GaloID is mandatory for everyone, including children. For this derby, anyone over 12 also needs an active facial registration to purchase a ticket, receive a ticket assignment and pass through the turnstile. A ticket bought for somebody else must be assigned to that person’s account; the platform will not complete the operation if a recipient subject to facial entry has not been enabled.

Atlético’s facial-recognition guide tells supporters to open the ticket website on a phone, sign in with GaloID, allow camera access, take a facial photo and upload the front and back of an official ID. Good lighting, a clean camera and a centered face help prevent errors. A photo of another photo, a screen image, a low cap, a mask or dark glasses must not be used.

For facial entry, the ticket may still appear in the Super App but without a barcode. The face linked to the account is used at the turnstile. Printed tickets, screenshots and photographs of tickets will not be accepted.

Children: tickets, free admission and legal guardians

Children of every age need a ticket. For those under 12, facial registration is optional for this match, but a GaloID account remains mandatory; entry may be made with an e-ticket or barcode. Children’s free tickets may be collected on October 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Arena MRV, exclusively for children under 12, upon presentation of documentation and subject to availability. Free admission therefore does not mean automatic entry or remove the need for a ticket.

Registering a minor requires a legal guardian’s involvement. Official information says children under 12 have their registration validated by a guardian; those aged 12 to 16 must complete the process with a guardian’s supervision. Because the general facial-recognition page contains broad guidance that does not fully match the match-specific rule, the ticket announcement should govern this fixture: facial registration is optional below age 12 and mandatory above that age.

Away supporters

Tickets for Cruzeiro supporters went on sale on October 21 at noon. The announcement identifies gates 19 and 20 and lists R$130 for a full-price ticket and R$65 for a concession ticket. Away entry will be exclusively through facial recognition.

Away supporters therefore must also complete the required registration before going to the Arena. A receipt, printout or image of the ticket is not enough. The match page is the reference for checking any change in allocation, availability or operating instructions.

What happens to facial data

The club’s facial-recognition privacy notice classifies biometric information as sensitive personal data. According to the document, the photograph is converted into an encrypted token; at the turnstile, the captured image is compared with the token associated with the taxpayer ID number and ticket.

The notice states that the token cannot be reversed to reconstruct the original image. It also says photographs of minors under 16 are deleted after biometric registration and that requests concerning data-subject rights may be submitted through the club’s Privacy Channel.

Checklist before leaving

Confirm that the ticket appears in the correct account, that individual assignment has been completed and that every companion has a GaloID. For people over 12 and away supporters, also confirm that facial registration is active. For a child under 12, have the e-ticket or barcode available in the Super App and take the required documentation when seeking a free ticket.

Finally, check the official page again on matchday. Operating rules, availability and sections may be updated, and the organizer’s announcement is the safest reference for entry.
