K-pop concerts in the US: wristbands, GA lines and camping

Kia Forum and UBS Arena rules show why tickets, VIP credentials and places in line must be checked separately.

A numbered wristband generally organizes a fan’s place in line, but it should not be treated as a ticket, VIP credential or independent guarantee of admission. For a K-pop concert with a General Admission (GA) floor in the United States, check the event and arena pages before leaving: distribution time and location, required ID, individual attendance, return time and camping rules can change. Instructions from Kia Forum and an ENHYPEN event at UBS Arena show that there is no single nationwide procedure.

Start with the correct ticket

Before planning an overnight wait on the sidewalk, confirm that the ticket actually grants access to the GA floor. At Kia Forum, the line wristband is issued only to guests who present a valid ticket for that day’s event. It records a sequential position, while the ticket remains necessary for admission.

It is also important to distinguish between three items that may appear equivalent: the ticket, a line-order wristband and a VIP credential or wristband. The UBS Arena ENHYPEN page expressly said that the arena’s numbered wristband was separate from the VIP wristband issued by POWERHOUSE at check-in. Once that check-in began, the first wristband became void; guests with GA tickets could then get back in line after receiving the promoter’s wristband.

That example applied to one specific event and should not be transferred to another concert. It does, however, reveal the essential question: “Does this wristband only establish line order, or does it also authorize access?” If the official event page does not answer clearly, contact the arena or organizer.

Your place may require personal attendance

Do not rely on one person to collect wristbands for a group. Kia Forum requires every party member to be present at the same time to join the line and receive a wristband; saving a place for another guest is also prohibited. Under UBS Arena’s ENHYPEN instructions, each fan had to appear in person and show a valid government-issued or school ID plus the event ticket. The venue recorded the guest’s name, phone number and wristband number to prevent duplication.

In practice, every attendee should carry their own accessible ticket and the identification requested under that show’s rules. A screenshot, copy or foreign document should only be considered sufficient if the organizer confirms it. The cited sources do not establish a general rule for international passports or confirm that every digital format will be accepted.

Wristband distribution is not admission time

Under Kia Forum’s published general procedure, the early line and wristband distribution began at 9 a.m. on the day of the show and ended at noon; the Early GA line formed at 3 p.m., followed by the line for all GA ticket holders at 4 p.m. The arena says times and rules are subject to change. The initial location is Kareem Court, south of Manchester Boulevard, with the official line later forming in the northeast quadrant of the parking lot near Parking Lot C.

The UBS Arena page instead listed pre-check windows on earlier days, one day without distribution and a minimum time for fans to begin lining up. Those were dated instructions for that ENHYPEN performance, not the venue’s permanent schedule.

The practical reading is straightforward: receiving a number early does not mean the doors open then. Record distribution, return, line formation, VIP check-in and doors as separate moments. Follow only the times displayed on the current page for your event.

Camping can lead to removal from the property

Kia Forum does not permit overnight camping on its property, lines for future-date shows, or abandoned chairs, tents, umbrellas and other lounging items. Its policy also prohibits cutting the line, running and pushing. Losing, removing or tampering with the wristband means losing one’s position and may result in removal from the property.

UBS Arena’s rule for the cited event was even more explicit: the campus was inaccessible before the designated pre-check dates and times, and loitering or camping on or off campus was prohibited; camping would be treated as trespassing.

Videos of fans camping in another city therefore do not override the venue’s policy. Being “outside the arena” does not automatically make camping permissible. Check the property boundaries and do not assume security will recognize an unofficial line.

Bags, cameras and the address belong in the plan

The queue is only one step. UBS Arena’s ENHYPEN page allowed bags no larger than 12 × 12 × 6 inches, subject to screening, and prohibited backpacks; those dimensions applied to that event. The Crypto.com Arena A–Z Guide states a different policy: bags and backpacks are generally not allowed, while small clutches and wallets under 5 × 9 × 1 inches may be inspected. Professional camera equipment and video recording are also restricted.

This reinforces why even another arena in the same city is not a valid substitute. Confirm the address and designated entrance as well: Kia Forum, 3900 W Manchester Blvd., Inglewood; UBS Arena, 2400 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont; and Crypto.com Arena, 1111 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles. Use only the address on your ticket and the entrance designated for the event.

Final checklist before leaving

Open the official page on the day of the concert and confirm: the ticket’s GA category; what the numbered wristband remains valid for; accepted identification; required attendance by every person; distribution place and window; return time and location; the distinction between standard and VIP lines; camping restrictions; bag limits; and prohibited items. Keep the ticket, wristband and any required credential as separate items.

The arenas reserve the right to change procedures. An older notice can explain how a system works, but it does not justify planning another show around the same hours. The applicable rule is the one published for the specific performance.
