October PS Plus: games, consoles and claim deadline

The October 2026 PlayStation Plus monthly games are F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. All three can be claimed from October 6 through November 2. The first two are for PS5; the third has PS5 and PS4 versions. Once added to the library, they can be downloaded and played while the PS Plus subscription remains active.

October lineup and supported consoles

• F1 25 — PS5: the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, with single-player experiences such as Career and My Team 2.0, as well as online racing.
• Hunt: Showdown 1896 — PS5: an extraction shooter in which players face monsters and rival hunters. You can go alone or bring up to two teammates.
• Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 — PS5 and PS4: combat in a voxel-styled world, with players choosing four collected characters for their squad. It supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen on both consoles.

The platform distinction matters: F1 25 and Hunt: Showdown 1896 were not announced for PS4 in this offer. For people still using the older console, only Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 has confirmed compatibility.

Deadline to add the games

The claim window opens on Tuesday, October 6, and closes on Monday, November 2, 2026. The essential step during that period is to add each title to the account’s library. You do not have to finish the games during the month, but missing the deadline means losing this monthly-offer claim opportunity.

The lineup may vary by region. Because these details come from the Brazilian announcement, check the PlayStation Store tied to your account on release day, as Sony recommends.

Members who have not claimed September’s selection have until October 5 to add Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes to their libraries.

How to claim on PS5 and PS4

On PS5, the official PlayStation support instructions say to open PlayStation Plus from the Games home screen, enter Benefits, choose Monthly Games, highlight the desired title and select Download.

On PS4, open PlayStation Plus from the function screen, go to Monthly Games, select the game and choose Add to Library > Download. Support also says users can remotely start a download to a PS5 or PS4 through a web browser or the PlayStation App.

If storage is limited or you do not want to play immediately, the practical priority is to verify that the title has actually been associated with your library before November 2. The download can wait, subject to the subscription’s access conditions.

What happens when the subscription ends

Monthly games are available at no additional cost during PlayStation Plus membership, but they are not the same as an independent purchase. The PlayStation cancellation support page explains that benefits continue until the end of any previously purchased payment period.

When membership ends, the user loses access to monthly games and other benefits, including online storage and online multiplayer. Claimed packs and avatars remain available, as do purchases made with a discount. In other words, adding a title to the library preserves its association with the account, but it does not remove the active-membership requirement for playing it.

F1 25 does not automatically include the 2026 Season Pack

The monthly offer provides the F1 25 base game for PS5. It should not be confused with the F1 25: 2026 Season Pack, a separate premium expansion. According to Electronic Arts’ FAQ, anyone who already owns the base game must purchase the downloadable content from their platform store to access it.

The pack adds the teams and drivers from the 2026 season, the MADRING circuit, new rules and vehicle modes, among other content. EA also offers a digital Season Edition containing both the base game and the expansion. Claiming F1 25 through PS Plus therefore does not automatically grant the pack or convert the offer into the Season Edition.

The expansion requires the base game, updates, an internet connection and an EA Account login for access to its full set of features. Commercial terms and availability can change; check the official page and your platform store before purchasing additional content.

Before leaving the claim screen

Review three details on the account: whether you selected the correct game, whether its edition matches the console being used and whether confirmation that it was added to the library appeared. This is particularly useful for Earth Defense Force, which supports both console generations, and F1 25, whose 2026 pack is sold separately.

The lineup combines racing, extraction shooting and cooperative action, but accessing it depends on one concrete step: associating the titles with the account between October 6 and November 2. Check the Brazilian store at launch for any regional adjustments.
