Xbox Series X-BITE: Mexico residents cannot enter the giveaway

The functional piece is real, but Xbox has not confirmed a GTA VI tie-in or participation outside the United States.

Residents of Mexico cannot enter the Xbox Series X-BITE sweepstakes. The promotion is limited to people aged 18 or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or Washington, D.C. The piece is real, contains a functioning Xbox Series X, and will go to one eligible person, but the official announcement does not mention GTA VI, Rockstar Games, or PlayStation.

The promotion ends on November 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. That corresponds to 1:59 a.m. on November 11 in Mexico City, given the time difference on that date, but converting the time does not expand eligibility. Because promotional conditions may change or contain further details, anyone in the United States should check the Xbox announcement and official rules before entering.

What the Xbox Series X-BITE is

The Series X-BITE is a promotional fabrication that places an Xbox Series X inside a replica alligator. According to Xbox, the visual premise is that the animal swallowed the entire console — and the device still works.

The structure measures more than five feet, or just over 1.5 meters, from snout to tail. The console is visible through an illuminated opening in the reptile's body. A customized wireless controller sits between its jaws, complete with bite marks, green irises, and pupils inspired by the Xbox Nexus symbol.

Xbox says only one unit exists. John Nolan Studio produced it through 3D modeling, sculpting, and fabrication. The studio has also worked on creatures and animatronics for productions including *The Witcher* and *Jurassic World Dominion*. No real alligators were used or harmed, and Xbox describes the object as best suited for display even though the console is functional.

Why Mexico residents are excluded

The limitation is territorial, not technical. Xbox's published terms accept only legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. Having a public account on one of the specified platforms or correctly following the entry process therefore does not make a Mexico resident eligible.

Mexican outlet Ruptura 360 also explicitly reports that users in Mexico and other international territories are outside the promotion. None of the reviewed sources describes a parallel version of the contest for Mexico.

That distinction matters because campaign posts circulate on social networks that are accessible internationally. Seeing the post, sharing it, or using the hashtag does not replace the legal-residency requirement in the rules.

How entry works in the United States

For people who meet the territorial requirements and are at least 18, Xbox lists three steps. Entrants must follow the brand's official account on X, Instagram, or TikTok; repost the designated sweepstakes post; and manually add #XbiteSweepstakes. The account must remain public so the entry can be seen.

Xbox also advises entrants to keep notifications turned on. A potential winner will have 48 hours to claim the prize after being contacted. No purchase is necessary, but every requirement and exception should be checked in the official rules, not only in social-media copies of the campaign.

Has a GTA VI connection been confirmed?

No. Xbox says the inspiration came from Florida, highlighting the state's wildlife, places, and unusual stories. The official copy does not cite GTA VI, Rockstar Games, Leonida, or any agreement involving PlayStation.

The comparison is an understandable editorial interpretation. Vandal connects Florida's wildlife to GTA VI's Leonida while acknowledging that the campaign does not name the game. That supports describing a thematic similarity or possible nod, but not a documented official collaboration.

Nor does Xbox's announcement support claims that the company omitted GTA VI because PlayStation holds promotional rights. Without statements from the companies concerned, that explanation should remain labeled as speculation rather than a confirmed reason.

Published fact versus interpretation

The documented facts are straightforward: only one Series X-BITE exists; it works; John Nolan Studio created it; its stated inspiration is Florida; and the sweepstakes accepts only adults legally residing in the United States and Washington, D.C. The promotion ends on November 10 in Pacific Time.

A direct relationship with GTA VI, Rockstar, or PlayStation has not been announced. For readers in Mexico, the practical conclusion is even simpler: the campaign can be followed as a gaming-culture and design curiosity, but it does not provide a valid entry route for Mexico residents.
