High Potential: Season 3 returns in early 2027

ABC has not set the premiere date; February 14 is a special post-Super Bowl broadcast.

*High Potential* has not been canceled, nor is it airing new episodes right now. Season 2 ended in April 2026, and ABC has confirmed that Season 3 will arrive in early 2027. An exact premiere date has not been announced. February 14, 2027, is the date of a special episode after Super Bowl LXI—not an officially confirmed season premiere.

Why isn’t High Potential on right now?

The explanation is straightforward: the previous season has ended, while the next one was left off ABC’s fall schedule. On the show’s official page, Season 2 concludes with Episode 18, “Family Tree,” dated April 8, 2026.

When ABC presented its second-half schedule in July, the network listed *High Potential* among the shows returning in 2027. Its current absence is therefore a break between seasons, not evidence of cancellation.

When does Season 3 begin?

As of October 28, 2026, the most precise official window is “early 2027.” ABC has also said that new episodes will regularly air on Tuesdays in the United States and stream on Hulu the following day.

The first episode still has no date. TVLine likewise reports that a Season 3 premiere date has not been announced. Any specific day presented as the season launch should therefore be treated as speculation until the network publishes an update.

What happens on February 14, 2027?

ABC has confirmed a new *High Potential* episode immediately following Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027. In the United States, the presentation will be available through ABC and Disney+, according to the network’s official special announcement.

The Sunday broadcast is an exception: the regular Season 3 schedule will be on Tuesdays. ABC did not identify the February 14 episode as the season premiere. It also did not confirm whether the opening episode will air before that date or on the same night.

What has been confirmed about the series?

Kaitlin Olson returns as Morgan, a single mother with an exceptional ability to solve crimes who forms an unusual partnership with a by-the-book detective. ABC’s announced cast also includes Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb and Judy Reyes.

The 20th Television production is based on the French series *Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)*. TV Insider describes the post-Super Bowl presentation as a Season 3 event while continuing to list the premiere as “TBA.”

What should US viewers keep in mind?

The confirmed US timeline has four separate points: Season 2 is over; Season 3 is due in early 2027; regular episodes will air on Tuesdays; and February 14 is reserved for a special Sunday presentation. The last point does not establish the premiere date.

ABC says regular episodes will stream on Hulu the next day, while the post-Super Bowl episode is announced for ABC and Disney+. Scheduling and availability may change, so viewers should check ABC’s official page closer to the return.
