K-pop video-call fansigns: entry, ID and preparation

Joining a video-call fansign on Weverse requires two separate actions: purchasing the expressly eligible product and completing the entry with the same account within the stated period. For international fans, the name must match an accepted ID—generally a passport—and KakaoTalk must be set up to receive contact. Before paying, read the entire notice: products, deadlines, minimum age, ID, call duration, recording rules, delivery and fees vary by event.

Purchase and entry are separate steps

A standard album may not grant access to the raffle. For the ENHYPEN event, only versions marked “VIDEO CALL FANSIGN” were eligible. Customers had to buy them through Weverse Global and manually enter the raffle with the same account. Entries were calculated from the number of eligible albums, not the number of orders. Canceling every order also canceled participation.

TREASURE used the same general structure, but applicants had to follow the link for their chosen member. Its notice said submitted details could not be changed and that a winning place was personal, non-transferable and not for resale. These examples clarify the process but do not establish a universal rule: always confirm the product and entry button in the official event notice.

Before submitting, check this sequence: the product is marked eligible; the period remains open; you are logged into the purchasing account; the artist’s community is accessible; the form was actually submitted; and the order remains active. The ENHYPEN notice and TREASURE notice show why purchasing alone is insufficient.

Enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport

The example forms requested a name, date of birth, KakaoTalk ID and valid phone number. For participants without South Korean nationality, the notices required the English name to match the ID or passport; TREASURE did not accept Korean names from those applicants.

Copy the spelling and field order carefully, without nicknames, abbreviations or improvised transliterations. Review the birth date, phone number and KakaoTalk ID before submitting because entered details might not be editable. Do not assume support can correct them later.

Minimum age and data handling also vary. ENHYPEN applied an event-specific age condition, while TREASURE’s notice differentiated thresholds by country or region. Do not reuse one campaign’s rule for another: consult the current notice before purchasing.

A valid physical ID is essential

Identity was checked before the conversation in all three notices reviewed. For foreign nationals, a passport or Residence Card appeared among the accepted documents. The document had to be unexpired, physically presented and show a name, photo and birth date matching the entry. A photograph, photocopy, printout or screenshot did not replace the original.

This check prevents another person from using or buying a winning place. Participation may be denied if the name or other details do not match. The safest approach is to set the document aside before the event and compare every field with the submitted confirmation. Detailed requirements appear in both the TREASURE rules and YEONJUN rules.

Prepare KakaoTalk, your device and connection

Install or update KakaoTalk on the device you will use and test video calls beforehand. YEONJUN’s announcement instructed participants to enable “Make My ID Searchable” and “Allow others to add me”; the connection could fail if staff could not add the participant. The submitted ID must be the exact account prepared for the event.

On the day, keep sufficient battery, a stable connection and a quiet setting. Open messages early and wait for your turn without blocking unfamiliar contacts connected with the organizer. In the YEONJUN example, the order followed the number published on the Event Entries page. Results could be checked in Weverse under More, Event Entries.

Read the retry policy too. At the ENHYPEN and YEONJUN events, after two unsuccessful calls, organizers moved to the next winner and made one final attempt later. Another missed call was treated as a no-show.

Recording, conduct and privacy

Winning does not authorize transferring the call or placing companions on screen. Under YEONJUN’s notice, only the winner could appear; offensive language, inappropriate requests or failure to follow staff directions could end the conversation.

Staff could monitor and record the entire call to operate the event and protect the artist. That notice stated a seven-day retention period after the event, unless otherwise required by law. Participants, however, could not record, capture, stream, sell or publish the call’s video, images or audio. Check this clause in the specific notice because consent, purpose and retention should be assessed for each campaign.

Signed album, address and possible fees

The prize and autograph format are not identical across raffles. Some events set aside one purchased album for signing; certain ENHYPEN versions received the autograph on a sheet prepared at the venue. By entering, customers accepted that the package would be opened. Winners might also be unable to choose the signed version.

Review the order’s name, address and phone number. In the USD notices aimed at the United States store, recipients were responsible for customs duties and fees that might be charged by the local carrier; refusal to pay, absence or incorrect details could generate extra costs or prevent delivery. Do not automatically apply that condition to another territory.

In short: save the official notice, confirm both purchase and entry, use your passport name, keep the physical ID ready, test KakaoTalk, and reread the recording and shipping rules. Conditions may change or an event may be canceled, so the specific notice always takes precedence.
