World of Warcraft: Forever will launch worldwide on November 4, 2026. In the Americas, access is scheduled to open at 3 p.m. PST. It is designed as a permanent home alongside modern and Classic WoW, with reimagined original continents, progression to level 60, and dedicated systems. Times and details may change, so check Blizzard’s official announcement before attempting to log in.

What World of Warcraft: Forever is
Forever is not merely an update to modern WoW. Blizzard describes it as a permanent experience alongside modern and Classic WoW. Its story takes place after the events of *Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom* and before Molten Core.
The journey covers the original continents and levels 1 through 60. Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor receive new or reimagined areas, while more than 1,000 quests are added across the leveling path. Announced destinations include Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas, the Riverglades, and Zephras Isle.
That distinction defines the release: it is a new interpretation of original Azeroth, rather than a straightforward preservation of the game as it existed at launch.

What will be available November 4
The launch includes nine new five-player dungeons for characters from level 13 through 60. It also introduces the playable Skyborne race, whose level 1–12 starting experience takes place on Zephras Isle. New race and class combinations include Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests, and Dwarf Shamans.
Access to the three announced raids—Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, and Onyxia’s Lair—is scheduled for December 9. The Hardcore ruleset will also arrive sometime after launch, with no exact date listed. Players should not expect either feature when access opens November 4.

Choices during the first login
On first login, the game will ask players to select an experience preset. Classic uses a more traditional presentation, standard models, and fewer modern interface features enabled by default. Enhanced starts with higher visual fidelity, high-definition models, and additional interface tools.
This selection is a starting point, not a permanent lock: individual settings can be changed later. The HD or SD model selection for each character also changes appearance only, not abilities or progression.
Players then choose a ruleset instead of a traditional realm. The launch options are Normal, PvP, Roleplay, and Roleplay PvP. This decision deserves attention, particularly because the PvP modes leave characters open to attacks from opposing players most of the time.
New systems worth understanding
Forever uses two-part character names, with each full name required to be unique within its region. The Camping system turns Cooking’s Basic Campfire into a shared campsite where nearby players can contribute profession-crafted features.
The Legacy System provides account-wide horizontal progression through challenges, perks, and rewards. Although it encourages playing different classes and professions, Blizzard says all character advantages can be unlocked on a single character.
Pre-launch checklist for US players
Check the WoW news portal for schedule changes and service notices. Open the official app ahead of time to verify authentication, available updates, and the selected region. Do not assume download sizes or technical details circulating elsewhere are current.
The official World of Warcraft page lists Windows and macOS specifications and subscription information. Because that page also covers other editions of the game, compare the information shown near launch and look for wording specifically tied to Forever before purchasing hardware, clearing storage, or selecting a plan. Prices and terms may vary by territory.
Finally, consider Classic versus Enhanced and review the ruleset descriptions in advance. Those are the confirmed choices most likely to shape the opening minutes; release timing, requirements, and access terms should still be rechecked through Blizzard’s official channels.
