Weverse Digital Membership: benefits, renewal, and cancellation

Weverse Digital Membership is a monthly subscription purchased separately for each community. It combines digital features such as ad removal on LIVE and VOD content, offline video storage, and live-chat translation. Renewal is automatic, and cancellation must be completed through the platform used for payment: the Apple App Store or Google Play for in-app subscriptions, or the community page for web subscriptions.

Two distinctions matter before subscribing. Benefits may vary by community, and this subscription should not be treated as another name for an artist’s official fan club. The Weverse Help pages reviewed describe a product called Digital Membership and its digital features; they do not say that it replaces another membership category.

Where to start a subscription

According to the official instructions for starting a Digital Membership, the purchase takes place inside the selected community. In the app, the stated path is to open the community home, tap “Membership,” and select the option to join Digital Membership. On the website, the option is available from the community home.

An in-app purchase is processed through the store linked to the device—the Apple App Store or Google Play. In this case, monthly renewal uses community-specific Digital Membership Jelly, which is automatically loaded for that purpose. This Jelly cannot be used to purchase other products.

That explanation helps prevent two mistakes: the subscription belongs to a specific community, and the balance automatically created through the app flow has restricted use. Before confirming, check which community is selected and which platform will process the payment.

Which benefits are included

The benefits and limitations list includes removing ads from LIVE streams and on-demand videos, automatically generated subtitles, real-time chat translation, and offline VOD storage. It also lists AI upscaling for low-quality VOD, voice enhancement, and Dolby Vision for LIVE content, with the latter limited to supported devices.

For community participation, the Help Center mentions unlimited fan letters, the ability to host listening parties, and upgraded video uploads with higher quality and longer duration. Membership-only content, an alternative app icon, and dedicated marks and badges are also listed.

Another benefit is additional Jelly when making a regular top-up of at least 20 Jelly through the web-based Jelly Shop. The rule does not apply to automatic top-ups. If the membership is refunded, the extra Jelly is reclaimed and purchases made with it are canceled.

Because Weverse itself says benefits may differ by community, this list is a reference, not a guarantee that every item will be available for every artist. Check the relevant community page before paying.

How downloaded videos work

Offline storage comes with an allowance of 30 VODs per renewal. Unused allowances from the current month do not carry over into the next cycle. Saved files appear in the app under “More,” represented by three dots, and then “Saved Videos.”

Each saved video remains playable for 30 days after download, but playback stops when the membership expires, even if the video’s individual 30-day window has not ended. In practical terms, canceling renewal does not immediately remove access to the period already purchased; after expiration, however, the downloads no longer work.

This limit is important for anyone hoping to keep a permanent library: the feature provides temporary offline access. It is not a purchase of the video or an indefinitely retained file.

When and how renewal happens

Under the Weverse renewal rules, the reference date is the same day of the month on which the initial subscription began. If that date does not exist in a particular month, renewal takes place on the final day. The Help Center gives the example of a subscription started on January 31 and renewed on February 28.

In the app, the precise time may vary because of Apple App Store or Google Play processing, with a possible difference of one or two days before or after the expected date. Subscriptions started on the last day of a month renew on the last day of the following month.

On the website, if the account does not hold enough Jelly at renewal, the primary automatic payment method registered in the Jelly Shop is used to top up the balance. Processing may be delayed by up to one hour. The history is available in the app under “More” → “Jelly” → “Usage”; on the website, use “Jelly Shop” or “My Jelly” → “History” → “Usage.”

How to cancel through the correct menu

The route depends on where payment was made. Under the official cancellation instructions, subscribers who paid through the app must use subscription management in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those who subscribed on the website should open the community home, view the Digital Membership benefits area, and select cancellation.

Cancellation stops renewal for the next billing cycle. Access remains available until the end of the paid period, but Weverse says it does not offer partial cancellation or a refund for that period. Deleting the app or no longer using the benefits therefore does not cancel the billing arrangement.

A simple check before confirming

Before joining or canceling, verify three details in the account: the selected community, the platform that received payment, and the date shown in the history. They determine where the subscription must be managed and help explain a possible difference in renewal timing.
